Thursday product review: Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector and Thermal-Active Refiner

Now THIS is a great product and is the first clinique product i have used in a long time.
My mom gave it to me because she really liked it, as well.
It makes your skin so smooth!!
Lately, people have been saying that my skin looks great and I think that is in part due to the boscia luminizing black mask and the pore perfector.

i am not really sure how you are supposed to put it on, but i put my moisturizer on first, then the pore perfector (all over), then my foundation. it goes on so smooth and just makes your face feel like a baby's a$$. ok, maybe not that smooth, but you get the point.

another product that goes hand-in-hand with this one is the thermal active skin refiner. i use it in the shower, which seems best because you should leave it on your face for a few minutes and you dont want it dripping down while you leave in on. anyway, the best part is that it heats up. so, i put it on my face, emphasizing the t-zone area, and leave it on while i shave or wash my hair, and then wash it off.

my mom and i think both have reduced the size of our pores or at least the visibility of them.

try it and let me know what you think!

fabulous forever 21 friday!

since i love forever 21, and i am proud of my purchases at my mecca, fridays are now going to be fabulous forever 21 friday! to start, i will show you my most recent FAB purchase. dont you love these:
ok, so to start, they have a bow (obvious points) and they were only $32. AND even though they have a 4 inch heel, they are pretty comfortable!! (you can see them on my feet below).

my friend and fabulous fashion consultant, carolyn, bought these, um HELLO prada!:

i was obsessed with these too, however, they were not too comfortable on me, so i passed.
i love you forever 21!

thursday product review: want to orgasm?

now that i got your attention, i will tell you about the best bronzer/blush EVER. i have used the orgasm blush for years, but the nars bronzing/blush duo has changed my life. somehow, it looks great on everyone and depending on whether you want more bronze or more blush, you can switch it up! nars also makes a new version (with sparkles!), that i want to try when i am out of mine. also, it is pretty cost effective, because you get both for $39! you can't beat that!!

since i am feeling generous, i will tell you about another product i love. it is the loreal lash boosting serum. i really think it has made my lashes grow. it is a definite drug- store version of latisse. i have been using it for months- i kind of put it on whenever i remember. it is clear and you wipe it right above your lashes and on them. multiple people (including my hair guy), have asked me how my eye lashes are so long. the lash boosting serum takes months to work, but is a great non- latisse (and cheap), alternative!

funny websites

there are a few websites lately that have me on the floor laughing- literally not being able to talk because i am laughing so hard:

1- damn you auto correct
2- awkward pregnancy photos
3- personal fave: some ecards
4- stuff white people like

after laughing hyterically, you can watch this video of this little girl i saw on 20/20. she is an amazing singer and im pretty sure i love the song "amazing grace" more than any other jew EVER

thursday product review: OPI's gel manicure

along with the ipad, the gel manicure should be one of the greatest inventions of 2010.
it is AMAZING!! it does not chip whatsoever and stays shiny! not that many nail salons provide it, but more and more places are starting to. it runs a little more expensive than a normal mani, but is so worth it, especially if you have a dark color on your nails.

my roommate (aka hand model), has a bluish color on her nails and it has lasted a week and a half already!! yes, you read correctly: week and a half with no chips! This is unheard of! You do see a little growth, but you can't get around that. She says that she gets stopped everyday because her nails are so shiny and perfect and look like they just got done!
the colors that are offered are limited, but i am sure that as popularity grows, more will be added. the popular OPI colors including "im not really a waitress" "big apple red" and "lincoln park after dark" are a few of the colors that are offered. also, you have to soak your nails in acetone to get the "paint" off. the jury is still out about how great that is for your nails/hands, but whatever, my nails look awesome!!!

at this point, you have to have your nails done professionally to use the product, but as soon as i can buy the goods, i am so i can do it myself!! if you live in la, you can get them done at century nails in brentwood for $32 or nail spa lane in santa monica for $25.

i never want a normal mani again!

in a mood

my close friends and parents know that i can very easily and often get "in a mood." in a mood means that something is off, i am irritated, or something is wrong that cant quite be pinpointed. this sometimes, but not all the time, happens at that time of the month. today, i am in a mood. anyone who reads this who would like to talk to me knows that they should probaby email me or text me if they want to talk. i dont know why these moods happen, they just do. sorry, just the way it is!!

december so far...

this hanukah (and december in general), has been great so far! i love all the holiday parties (ie. excuses to eat, drink, and get together with friends.)

my first night of hanukah consisted a good friend and me getting together to light the hanukah candles,  i got to go on a little vacay this weekend, and cant wait for amanda and my holiday party next week!

i know hanukah is not about the presents, but does make it fun!! actually, i really like giving gifts as much as i like to receive them (i have a christmas present to give, and am going to give it tomorrow because i cant wait!)

to start, i received a timeless gift from the parentals (below). apparently, it is for this hanukah, my bday, and next hanukah.
my brother did and awesome job and got me a gift card from lululemon, where i picked out the below:
(i had been eyeing this bag for months and it finally went on sale!!)
(clearly my body in the picture)
and a special someone got me these especially soft and cute booties, which i love and am wearing as i write!:
anyone out there with christmas presents to buy should definitely look into the above! i am in LOVE!!

thursday product review: loreal nature's therapy mega moisture

hands down, the best conditioner ever. my friend erin introduced this product to me a few years ago and i have been using it ever since! i makes your hair incredibly soft and smells AMAZING!!

i dont use loreal nature's therapy mega moisture conditioner everyday, although i am sure you could. its a little pricey, so i use it a few times a week along with my normal (ie. cheaper) conditioner.
most beauty supply stores have it and it is about $14 for a pretty large tub.

ps- take precautionary measures when using it: it can make your shower a little slippery!

happy hanukkah!!

tonight is the first night of hanukkah, yay!!
although my immediate family and i did our own little hanukkah celebration next to my mom's car after our thanksgiving dinner, the holiday is officially starting tonight.
i used to feel left out of all of the christmas activities, but definitely dont mind now (and i really like all the christmas festivities and music). i especially love that KOST has christmas music playing all month long- starting before thanksgiving!!
and i love that i will probably hear the hanukkah song on the radio today!
happy hanukkah everyone!!!
